Last week we speculated that our Libra friends may search out the more untraditional of vintage engagement rings and might choose a red center stone, over a diamond. But what for their zodiac neighbors, the Scorpio?
Well, there are some pretty famous Scorpios to look to: Pablo Picasso, Marie Antionette, Prince Charles and Katie Perry, to name a few. Katy chose (or possibly was surprised with) a pink/red center stone ring by Orlando Bloom. I wasn’t able to find any information about what engagement rings Pablo may have given either of his two wives (or many lovers). However, unless you’ve been under a rock the last 30 years, we all know the ring that Prince Charles picked out and gave to Diana.
But did you also know that Marie Antoinette also had an engagement ring with a blue stone? The 5.64ct pear cut blue diamond was given to her by Louis XVI. I couldn’t find much information about it, but she did have a few famous blue diamonds in her possession, at one time.
Scorpios, said to be passionate, independent and unafraid to blaze their own trail, appreciate authenticity, so it feels like it goes without saying, they wouldn’t want a cookie cutter ring. Nothing that would be a trend or in heavy rotation.
Whether choosing a blue stone center or not, Scorpios will be looking for a ring that resonates with them – one that’s unique and not likely to be seen elsewhere. The Scorpios I have known in my lifetime appreciated the finer things in life. And they didn’t have a problem sharing exactly what they thought with you. But they were always kind and gracious. And trend setters for sure!
