When you’re a princess’ princess, your engagement ring matters. Especially when you’re a British Royal Princess. Well, maybe only to those of us that follow these things. Even when it’s Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.

When Zara Phillips, the daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, married Rugby player Mike Tindall, it was a big deal. The two had met while at the Rugby World Cup in 2003 and dated for a number of years before marrying in Scotland in 2011. It was the first royal wedding Scotland had seen since the bride’s own mother.

It was a pretty laid back affair. The groom showed up with his rugby friends and was chewing gum up until the ceremony. But what a guy – he custom designed the engagement ring. One could assume the two bands joining as one were a symbol for their two lives/families. But then again, one is just assuming. 😉

The Queen was in attendance, as were newlyweds Will and Kate. It was quite the royal affair. And, because we all want to to know, the bride wore the Greek Key Diamond Tiara, given to her by her mother. Because…. tiaras.

We love Zara and her playfulness. She and her husband were quite the pair at the wedding of Meghan and Harry. How do you feel about her engagement ring? Royal worthy?

I just started reading your blog and I love it; tiaras and jewels are my porn.
Also, it’s Tindall, not Tinsdale.
Thank you! I’m guessing that spell check got the best of me and I missed its correction. 😉
He did a good job. I love the tiara. She is a real princess even though she does not have the title.
I completely agree with you. She is truly a princess and maybe one of the more fun ones because she doesn’t hold the title. 😉
It’s a beautiful ring. Loved it. Because … there are diamonds, many diamonds …
Also, I think Mike is very charming. I love his rough looks
He seems to be very down to earth. Which I also love!
